Spa and Retail Manager - Marin location

International Orange (IO) is an 11 treatment room, wellness-based spa and retail shop; offering massage, skin care, acupuncture and a curated skin and lifestyle product selection. We are a locally owned business with 2 locations, one in San Francisco and the other in the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur.  IO has been in business for 16 years and is known for being one of the best and most unique spa concepts in the Bay Area.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Spa and Retail Manager with definitive management experience. This person will work closely with the entire management team, and will run day-to-day business operations for our Marin Spa location.

Works regularly and closely with dedicated and hardworking management team comprised of:  Massage Service Director, Skincare Service Director, Operations & Finance Managers, San Francisco Spa & Retail Manager and our hands on Owner and Founder.

Job Description (including but not limited to):

  • Manage Front Desk team hiring, training and scheduling
  • Participate in ongoing communication with entire staff including Front Desk employees, Service Practitioners and Team Managers
  • Responsible for overall development of Front Desk team and ongoing training in customer service and retail sales.
  • Ensure that the brand, vision and service standards are understood, embraced and demonstrated by all staff.
  • Utilizes customer and staff feedback to reinforce and improve the quality of service
  • Recognize and respond to staff performance issues with fair and direct communication


  • 3-5 years of management experience in a retail store or spa business (must have a retail component, skincare preferred).
  • Previous success in hiring and motivating teams, managing business operations
  • and improving revenue in a retail environment
  • Outstanding customer service and sales skills with a hands-on approach
  • Strong visual merchandising skills
  • Outstanding time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and positive, professional attitude
