Winter is an important time to take a close look at our home skincare rituals and make some adjustments. Cold weather combined with indoor heating systems can dry out our skin and when it’s cold we tend to drink less water. I keep my daily homecare ritual simple with a gentle but effective cleanser and mild exfoliation to prepare my skin for the deep hydration I need and almost always find in a face oil. And I make sure to hydrate inside and out, drinking lots of water and herbal (and yes, some caffeinated) teas all day long.

What would you do for healthy, glowing skin? For me, all it took was 19 needles in my face, six in my scalp, and seven in and behind each of my ears to get skin that looked like the inside of a ripe peach.
Despite having Asian skin—you know, the kind that is fabled to show hardly even a whisper of a line until old age—my millennial eyes are beginning to detect a slight deflation in the youthful bounce that I thought would forever be mine. Unlike our blood which pumps through our bodies, the lymph "oozes" along and therefore can become stagnant very easily. Just imagine some of the various issues that can arise as a result of stagnant lymph. It NEEDS to move because it helps rid the body of pathogens. It carries our body’s waste from the tissues and into the bloodstream for removal. In 75 minutes, we will take you through a different type of facial experience--one in which every step is done with the movement of lymph in mind.
At IO, we are practiced in the art of prevention. While there's no way to entirely avoid environmental aggressors, there are ways to optimize the environment of your own skin, giving it a fighting chance against free radical attacks.
The goal of every sun goddess is to bronze, not burn, during the bright days of summer. And of course, we hope that our sun worship doesn’t leave any lasting marks on our skin. Will a safe non-nano zinc oxide SPF do the trick? It’s definitely a start, but skin experts at International Orange say it’s not enough, especially as the sun’s rays are striking hotter these days.
We spend a lot of time talking about skin. It’s our largest organ, after all. But beauty is more than skin deep. Our skin’s radiance is a good measure of our internal health, and the beauty we seek is achieved not only through products, but also through lifestyle.
